You mention that Dreamweaver is not the industry standard but you do not mention what is? Which is how I came to land on this page.

According to eMarketer, US ecommerce sales will reach $794.50 billion this year, up 32.4% year-over-year. … Ecommerce sales will reach 14.4% of all US retail spending this year and 19.2% by 2024. So Adobe needs to provide the tools developers can use to participate in this growth. Monthly subscriptions is NOT the way to go since Adobe has demonstrated that it adds/subtracts functions and features at will – leaving developers on the ledge of uncertainty.

Hi – I use Photoshop Elements which is a one time buy from Adobe. It is an excellent program but as you say the all other programs from them are subscription based. I sm sure that if they would a one time version of Dreamweaver Elements it would sell like hot cakes!

I seriously suggest you update it again because you say you can buy Dreamweaver For $300. You can’t. And for a bunch of years now you are unable to buy anything out right from Adobe. It is a monthly subscription. You could pay $239 for example for a yearly subscription for Dreamweaver but you’d have to spend that same amount the next year.

You can no longer buy any software outright from Adobe. It’s all subscription-based. Also, Dreamweaver is not the industry standard. Adobe has just decided to allow Fireworks software to die and not be replaced, updated, or continued. Adobe is a very inept Monopoly that at any time could discontinue Dreamweaver which by the way has gotten incredibly more complicated to use since it was created by Macromedia almost 20 years ago. I think a lot of people would agree that it’s become so complicated that it is almost not worth using.

Im still searching in the web a good alternative to Dreamweaver, but it is rerally hard to find.

Thank you for your post.
